Whitten Park / Fulton Campground
Whitten Park has 3 playgrounds, and a multi-use court.
There is one near the entrance to the first loop which is really nice. It has slides and climbing apparatus for the little kids. So many playgrounds we’ve seen don’t have much for the little kids to play on. There is clean sand to dig in as well.
There is a small playground in the second loop that has a slide and monkey bars. It’s the smallest playground of the three, but it’s especially nice if you are camping in that loop. Sorry, I don’t have a picture of this playground. I’ll try to get one next time we are there.
The third playground is in the day use area near the picnic pavillion and day use restrooms. We didn’t get to play there, but it looked pretty nice.
The multi-use court is near the gatehouse. It has basketball goals and a tennis/vollyball net. There are benches to sit on to watch your kids, and it’s lighted after dark until 10:00 PM. It’s surrounded by lots of grassy space to run around on.
